While we hope you don’t have any emergencies on your day, it’s always better to be safe than sorry. Wedding days are always full of surprises! It’s a great idea to pack a bridal emergency kit just in case. We have our own collection of items that come in handy during a small emergency on a wedding day, but we do love when brides and bridesmaids come prepared with a wedding day emergency kit.

Your maid of honor should pack them in a bag and stash it in a safe but easy-to-access place during the wedding day. Every bride is different, there is no ‘one size fits all’ bridal emergency kit that is right for everyone.                                                                                                                   It’s worth speaking to friends and close family members who have recently married so they can give you an idea of what you might need.

If you’re planning on making your own emergency kit, here’s a list of essential items to pack:

MAKE UP ITEMS: If you’re doing your own makeup and are using your own products, then this is super easy as you can just pop a few bits in your kit for top ups throughout the day. If a makeup artist is doing your face then ask them what products they recommend for emergency top ups on the day. Remember to opt for mini sized products when you’re putting together your bridal. Lipbalm, lipstick, Nail file, Waterproof mascara, Concealer, Compact mirror (You can adda touch of personalised wedding glam to your emergency kit and choose a compact mirror with your name or initials on), Your favorite fragrance!

HAIR PRODUCTS: Splurge on a high-quality hair spry formula to make sure your ’do stays put. Hair pins, a small hair brush

TISSUES: For dabbing away (happy) tears. It’s safe to say that tissues will be a wedding day essential for pretty much every bride. The whole day will be very emotional and during the speeches tears are guaranteed. For your something blue monogram it!

MEDICINES: Paracetamol for headaches, pain killers, allergy tablets, Indigestion tablets, Eye drops, Hand sanitizer/ hand wipes, Tampons/ sanitary pads,  talcum powder (for stains and for your shoes), Sunblock

FOR THE FEET: Plasters for sore feet, Gel pads, Spare pair of flat shoes

EXTRAS: Stain remover (Pack a portable stain removing pen for any sudden spills.A stain remover spray is a good idea for when someone spills red wine down your dress), Small pair of scissors, mini sewing kit (a needle and thread that matches the colour of your bridal wear)

WATER AND SNACKS make sure a bridesmaid can be on hand to remind you to keep hydrated. snacks would be a good item to have – go for quick, high energy snack. Mints to get your mouth ready for that first kiss 🙂
