Maybe you’re not the classic bride, maybe you want something different from all your friends. But in the exact moment you tell your mum you want a black dress she get mad. She think about big tattoos, leather jacket and a dark make up. You don’t want too much, just an elegant wedding with a twist!

Incorporating a rich color like black into your wedding design can be intimidating. However the result can be so chic! Art’Anna weddings and Events and DreamOn Wedding prove right here in this stunning Styled shoot in Umbria that black can be a wedding color.

The whole shoot needed to be elegant and rich. So black became the main color and the thread through the whole project. It was combined with peach and off-white.

The bride wore a long tulle gala skirt by Tutu Shop combined with a lace blouse with long sleeves. Beautiful floral arrangements by  Lots Flower Art  in warm colors like peach with an elegant ribbon by  Ollie’s Studio – Luxury Wedding and Event Stationery .

If you don’t want to wear a classic white dress you can opt for a colored skirt like this! The top of the dress is a classic white lace blouse but you can choose something sparkle! Some ateliers can help you to find the perfect designer for you who offers colored dress.

The groom wore a black tailor suit with a gold papillon by  Comme les Loups.

For men is easier wear black, but some accessories can make the difference! Shoes, socks, tie, cufflinks, watches…you have a lot to choose.

The ceremony was so simple but chic! This is an old abbey and the stone was in warm tones. Black candles made the difference! And the effect isn’t Halloween at all!

Think about your cake…this one is by Dispensa 63. It’s simple and clean. The designer adds some sugar flower and use a golden cake stand.

For a Black Wedding you can choose a chocolate nude cake, too

Talk about your stationery. We LOVE this invitation suite by Sanne Umans.

If your budget doesn’t allow you to hire a calligraphy artist you can opt for online services.

Looking for custom stamps! It’a always a good idea!

Choose a location simple and bright so your wedding will not be too moody and dark!

This stunning venue is Abbazia San Pietro in Valle. The abbey was built in the 8th century A.C. and has known a long and turbulent history of invasions, different popes and various monks before becoming a peaceful haven far away from our busy daily lives.

What a stunning view!

Think about host your reception in open air!

For the styling, Helena and Eleonora used the old furniture of the abbey: a long wooden table and different types of very heave chairs. They added a silk runner, antique bronze chandeliers with black candles, antique tableware with gold accents, silverware and crystal glasses filled with Umbrian wine.

You can reuse the flowers arrangement of the ceremony for your tables. If your budget isn’t high you need to be smart!

Custom place card can be cheap if you like DIY! This beautiful watercolors place card is by Sanne Umans!
